Due to an overwhelming response by SDEA members during the last week of the initial enrollment period, The Standard has extended the window for SDEA members to enroll with NO medical history questions through June 30.
Members who enroll are guaranteed disability insurance without having to provide proof of good health now through June 30. In addition, members may also enroll for $25,000 of life insurance without having to provide any medical history or proof of good health as well. SDUSD’s teachers are not eligible for state disability insurance—if you do not purchase disability insurance then you do not have disability coverage.
