All members are encouraged to serve on a SDEA committee.
Remember, time spent on SDEA committees can be applied towards
your professional growth requirement.
Standing committees
in the SDEA have the responsibility of making recommendations
to SDEA on issues and concerns referred to their respective committees
for examination. These standing committees may also write policy
for the Board and the Representative Council to consider. Each
committee is assigned a Board and a Staff liaison. The function
of the Board is to provide governance support with SDEA policy,
Board direction, and charges to the committee. The function of
the staff liaison is to provide technical and logistical support
to the committees.
