11.3.2 Itinerant
Unit Members The contract states it is important that all itinerant
unit members have adequate workspace. Site administrators are
strongly encouraged to provide such unit members with this adequate
workspace and all appropriate equipment. Sites with limited space
availability should explore the possibility of locating an alternative
facility on the site for use by itinerant staff.
In assigning
itinerant staff the district is to consider "the availability
of office space, appropriate services to students, and proximately
of sites to which the unit member is assigned."
11.13.2
Reimbursement for Personal Property Loss/Damage In the old
agreement this section limited reimbursement to lost or damaged
electronic hardware. The new agreement greatly expands the types
of personal property for which unit members will be reimbursed.
Coverage now includes; "instructional materials, books, supplies
and class room furniture." Previously reimbursement was only available
when the loss was the result of a malicious act. Loss due to "fire
or flood" is now covered.
Coverage is
limited to $400 per incident. (11.13.2.1 c). "Unit members claiming
reimbursement under this section must file a police report." (11.13.2.).
Equipment "must be registered with the site administrator" to
be covered. (11.13.2.3)
Please
review section 11.13.2 for further details.
