Central
Office-Initiated Planned Moves
By Steve Kaplan, UniServe Field Organizer
This
is a new section in the contract (Section 8.16). The section delineates
the conditions for unit members needing to move as a result of
a Central Office-Initiated Planned Move. Examples include: Bungalow
upgrades requiring movement to another classroom; and the movement
of a complete
school for one site to another. Examples of moves not covered
would be: A change of classroom initiated by a principal; and
a change of classroom because of a fire or flood. Here are key
points from the new language.
