Subject: Visiting Teachers during Layoff Hearings
Dear Colleagues,
1. During the Lay-Off hearing on April 14, 15, and 16, 2008 the
district must pay the cost for Visiting Teachers who work in place of the
employees attending the hearings
2. Only Permanent Employees involved may attend the hearings
3. The district WILL pay, NOT the site
4. The budget piece will be handled by the SAMS system using a selected
budget string
5. Please have your timekeeper submit the absence as "Court Appearance"
6. Employees who are impact may attend each of the three days
7. HR will have a sign in sheet to track attendees
8. Please do not guarantee the VT 3 days as your teachers may return
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact a staffing
administrator
Than you so much as we know you will be impacted and we apologize in
advance.
