Political Contribution A designated portion of your dues goes toward political action. Through this contribution SDEA, CTA and NEA provide financial support for educational issues and endorsed candidates for local and state offices. Contributions from this fund have supported public education, educators and their students in these campaigns: defeated the voucher initiative (Prop 174), guaranteed base school funding (Prop 98), improved teacher retirement, and electing pro public education legislators. If you have any questions regarding your political contribution please call SDEA.
