SERP
Last night the School Board unanimously voted to ratify our agreement for this year’s SERP. We strongly encourage all members who qualify to contact STRS and/or your financial advisor and consider accepting the SERP. This incentive recognizes potential retirees with a monetary incentive, while aiming to generate the necessary savings needed to offset potential budget deficits, classroom cuts, and unnecessary layoffs. All SDEA unit members who qualify will receive a personalized packet explaining their incentive from the District and PARS (the SERP provider) shortly.
